This is the classic holiday green bean casserole with two major differences. First, it's made with dairy free mushroom soup, and second, it's great even when it's not a holiday! When we have this, it's the main dish, not a side dish. It's great with Glazed Carrots.
1c Imagine Foods mushroom soup (this fabulous product comes in an aseptic box)
1 1/2T cornstarch
2 cans french cut green beans, drained
1 can Durkee french fried onions
Mix cornstarch with a little mushroom soup to make a paste.
Add paste to soup and stir well.
In casserole dish, combine beans, thickened soup, and half the can of onions.
Top with remaining onions.
Bake at 350 approximately 30 minutes or until hot.
