All the local relatives were out of town this year, so it was just the four of us (plus my mom) for Christmas--I got to plan the entire menu!

- Marmite Gravy [Note: This is not my favorite gravy, but for some reason my mom really likes it. Marmite/Vegemite (very popular in Aus/NZ, as I'm sure you know) is a yeast paste kind of reminiscent of beef flavor...in the US you see it commonly on packaged foods as "hydrolyzed yeast."]
- Cranberry Rice Pilaf
- Mushroom Tarts
- Maple Glazed Parsnips
- Braised Petite Green Beans
- Oatmeal Bread (not pictured, fresh from the oven--thanks to my husband the baker)
