Teriyaki Tofu Cubes

1/2c tamari
1/4c brown sugar
2T oil
1/4t pepper
1/8t garlic granules
1t dry ginger
1lb tofu

Combine all ingredients except tofu and set aside.

Drain, press and cut tofu into cubes.

Place tofu in a 9 x 9 casserole dish and pour about 1/3 of the sauce over cubes. Stir gently.

Place pan in a 350 degree oven and cook for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Note:  You can speed this up by using the broiler, but watch carefully and stir frequently, or it will burn.

Serve over rice with steamed broccoli and remaining sauce.
