Beer Batter Bread

3c flour
1T baking powder
3T sugar
1t salt
1 (12-oz) bottle beer (non-alcoholic, if desired), at room temperature

Preheat the over to 375.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

Add the beer all at once, mixing as little as possible; the batter should be lumpy.

Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.

Bake 35-40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.

Turn out on a rack to cool.
